A qualified, empathetic and professional healthcare assistant with 10 years experience in care support. Experienced and familiar with clients activities for daily living. I was a Hospice home bed bather for 2 years, doing bed bathing, changing clothing, sheets, nappies, companion, washing hair, nutrition, and some counseling.
I did 2.75 months practicals as a Patient Care Assistant at Ahmed Al Kadi Private Hospital in 2022.
8 years as primary carer to my father (Alzheimer’s Disease). He lived with me and the family agreed to pay me from a trust we had set up for his care.

I have completed a 6 month course as a Health Care Assistant.
Completed a one day workshop - Care and Support for People with diabetes through The Diabetes Eduction Society of South Africa.
I did an online course in Care-giving with Alison Online College and also a course in Understanding Dementia.
I studied Christian Counselling with University of Pretoria for a year.
I have worked in an administration position at the HospiceWits in Johannesburg. I worked in the training department. We trained care workers and arranged for nurses and doctors to do palliative courses with our organization.
I am well exposed to palliative care even though I was working in administration.
I am familiar with working with the support team of a client, eg doctors, nurses, physiotherapist, nutritionist, family members etc.
My passion has always been caring for senior and elderly persons.
I am committed, empathetic, compassionate, a good communicator and listener, competent, and having a caring
and nurturing spirit.
I am flexible and available to discuss caring for your parent when you are unable to.
