After my mother's diagnosis with stage 4 lung cancer, I dedicated myself to her care for another year. Although it was challenging to learn about her illness at a later stage, I was committed to providing her with the best possible quality of life. This experience taught me the importance of holistic care, pain management, and emotional support for individuals fighting serious illnesses.
Following my time as a caregiver, I gained work experience in the healthcare industry, initially working as a finance clerk and later as an accounting staff at Lourdes Hospital. During my three years there, I gained insights into the administrative side of healthcare, understanding the importance of efficient operations and patient management.
Currently, I am working at Chinese General Hospital as a Quality Management Team Staff for the past four years. This role has allowed me to further expand my knowledge and skills in ensuring high-quality patient care, monitoring compliance with healthcare standards, and identifying areas for improvement. I am proud of the work I do here, as the hospital's capacity of 700 patients challenges me to be efficient, organized, and detail-oriented.
Additionally, throughout my career, I have actively pursued various training opportunities in medical care. These trainings have equipped me with the latest knowledge and best practices in caregiving, enabling me to provide personalized and evidence-based care to seniors.
