I don't have lots of official papers for caregiving, but I've been doing this kind of work since I was small. In our home and around the family, there were always older people my grandparents, aunts, uncles, Wand neighbors too. As a boy, I just naturally helped them: making easy food, bringing things they needed, walking with them so they felt steady, reminding them about their pills, sitting with them, listening to their old stories without rushing, and being there when they felt low or in pain. It wasn't work to me it came from the heart. Those days showed me how much small things matter: being kind, showing respect, paying close attention, and helping people keep their pride and comfort.
