Introduction
I am a Certified Nursing Assistant from Kenya. I completed a 34-week, 2,005-contact-hour training program through First American Health Institute-Kenya, which is accredited by TVETA. My training included several areas of care, such as elderly care, dementia and Alzheimer's care, infection prevention and control, anatomy and physiology, and rehabilitation and restorative care. I also took courses in supervised medication assistance and special care needs, which included IV care, dialysis, and support for stroke recovery. However, I have not worked in independent nursing or clinical care.
As part of my certificate, I completed a hands-on clinical attachment in a hospital. There, I practiced caregiving skills under the supervision of trained staff. I also have certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid/CPR/AED. Additionally, I completed courses on adult and childhood disability care, mental health awareness, and common diseases.
I am a caring, patient, and reliable person who genuinely enjoys helping others, especially seniors who need support with daily living. I am comfortable with bathing, meal preparation, light housekeeping, mobility assistance, and changing adult diapers. I am also willing to help with shopping and running errands.
I am currently learning more and improving my skills. I am seeking a live-in senior care position where I can provide compassionate and dependable care while continuing to grow professionally. I am available on short notice and open to working with seniors who have dementia, Alzheimer's, or other age-related care needs.
