I am a BSN graduate (not an RN yet) but during my internship, I manage to train in the geriatic wards and had the chance to deal with different adult patients. I also took good care of my mother who had a stroke and complications of several ailments such as diabetes, heart problem, hypertension. I have to help her bathe, helped with ADL, make her meals according to her diet given and instructed by her doctor, gave her daily medications and record every progress or problems in terms of her health. Eight now, I am in Hong Kong for almost 6 months now taking care of an elderly couple, grandma has dementia and other health problems and have undergone several operations, granddad has hearing impairment, hypertension, cholesterol problems to name some.
