I have 8 years total of senior care work. I started in my twenties when my grandmother fell ill and then developed dementia. I had the honor of spending the last 3 years of her life with her.
From there I worked on the Telemetry floor of a hospital where 98% of the patients were in their senior years.
I then went and raised a family and stayed at home with my children until they were old enough to guide themselves and the first job I sought out was senior home care. I worked with several clients visiting them with being on a schedule. After a little bit I realized that while I loved working with several different clients the Travel was pretty intense. I have a good friend that does this same job and she told me she needed my help with one of her clients who was 55 and just had a stroke and in a wheelchair. After months of collaborating with the other caregivers that were working with me around the clock we were all happy to see her come out on the other side of her stroke and exceedingly stronger than her doctor was predicting.

I love being a positive force in others lives. My parents were both in the medical field and it has always been a part of me. I love everything about helping others around me as well as getting to know people!
