We are an extremely caring married couple of 15 years, with a very sensible, mature and loving 14 year old son, currently studying at Churston Ferrers Grammar School. We would be 100% committed to the opportunity of a pet/house sitting role while we pursue our own business. We are both super organised, meticulous cleaners and gardeners, animal lovers (especially dogs!) and extremely family orientated. We are both very fit and healthy, non-smokers.

We were faced with unbearably sad circumstances in 2020, when we had to send our Harry (family Westie) back to Heaven. Our hearts were broken and our home just wasn't the same so we made the decision to go on an adventure. We walked away from our professions, sold our home in Devon and pursued our dream of emigrating to NZ, after living and working in our professions, in Cornwall & in Devon for 13 years. However, we have now returned to the UK, as a family member has fallen ill. Therefore, our family need somewhere to call 'home' and if there was the role of a 'pet sitter' that would be a real bonus.

Along the way, we have been extremely blessed to have shared our adventures with animals. Currently, in exchange for living in, we are the 'changeover team' /gardeners/home help/dog sitters (for Pasha – a Jack Russel/Chihuahua cross, whenever the owners are away) for our very close friends and proprietors of The Adelphi Holiday Apartments, Paignton.

In New Zealand, (Auckland) we lived in our caravan, on the home-owners land, in exchange for tending to their chickens, garden, vegetable patch and for pet-sitting for the courageous Mia while they went on their travels. Mia had broken her hip yet still bravely soldiered on – her heart and spirit remained strong. In the South Island, we had the privilege of living with a family of 5 (mum, dad, Leo the horse, Bear the bull mastiff and Manfred the cat!) Bear was absolutely adorable and we immediately became part of his family. His owners couldn't believe how quickly we were accepted as part of the pack. Not too far away, we also became very good friends with 'Little/Big' (the miniature ponies who lived down the lane,) Again, their owners commented that they didn't tend to bother with passers by but we made a special bond, our souls soon connected on our daily evening walk.
