I'm an experienced pet carer since 2016 and it has become a regular job that I do alongside other my professional remote projects. I love looking after animals and spending time with them as well as spending time in nature.

My approach to animal care: It is so necessary to be gentle with animals, to provide them with lots of love and attention, whilst maintaining good boundaries and training where necessary. I don't believe using anger or angry punishment is ever necessary with animals. It is important to be firm with them and tell them "no" when appropriate, however, without the need for angry or violent words or actions.

My own animals: At home we have a family dog, Hinojo, who was recovered from an animal shelter. He was badly mistreated as a puppy and as a result has some behavioural issues. I therefore have good experience in how to navigate these kinds of behavioural difficulties with pets. We also have a cat called Mango who now lives with my sister. I bought her up when she was just a baby after we found her abandoned and decided to take her in.

I'm generally looking for pet and house sitting work when pet owners are away on holiday. I also have experience in light house maintenance and gardening (weeding, tidying borders, mowing, planting, watering etc). I'm comfortable administering medication for pets.
