I'm a 22-year-old British/Irish traveller with a genuine, lifelong love of animals, and I'd love the opportunity to look after your pets while you're away. I grew up with an old english sheepdog and two cats of my own, so I understand the rhythms and quirks of caring for animals in a home setting, feeding schedules, playtime, and just knowing when something feels a bit off.
While travelling through South America, I spent two weeks volunteering at an animal shelter in Carhuaz, Peru, home to over 100 dogs. It was intense, hands-on work, daily feeding, cleaning, exercise, and general care for a huge number of animals with very different personalities and needs, working alongside a small international volunteer team. That experience taught me a lot about patience, reading animal behaviour, and staying calm and consistent even when things get chaotic, skills I think translate directly into reliable, trustworthy pet sitting.
Beyond that specific experience, I've spent the past several months living in hostels, host family homes, and shared spaces across multiple countries, so I'm genuinely used to being responsible, respectful, and reliable in other people's spaces. I'm tidy, organised, and I take commitments seriously, if I say I'll be there to feed, walk, or check in on your pet, you can count on it happening exactly as agreed.
As a person, I'm energetic, warm, and genuinely happiest when there's an animal around. I'm an early riser, so morning walks and feeding routines are no issue at all, and I'm comfortable with pets of pretty much any size or temperament, from nervous rescues to boisterous, high-energy dogs. I'd treat your home and your pets with the same care and attention I'd want for my own.
