Clementia brings with her a diverse complement of skills and expertise which she gained over a period of 21 years in the hospitality industry, Consulting, media, and the health sector, collectively.
She recently held a position of Operations Manager at Park Place Boutique Guest House, on a contract basis. Park Place Guest House is an award winning 4star Guest House in South Africa, located in East London. Prior to that she was the Executive Director and Partner at Voice of Africa Global Media, a business that produces radio and Television content, conducts Nation-building projects, as well as training and development for organisations. She also worked voluntarily as the Secretariat for the World Economic Congress (WEC) - SA chapter.
Clementia worked for the National Health Laboratory Service, Tygerberg Hospital Business unit, where she was the Supervisor at the Laboratory Support Service, with a compliment of 42 staff members under her supervision. Here she gained a lot of exposure in the administration of the laboratory support service, meeting turnaround times, and taking care of and liaising with, the different stakeholders, internal and external customers. Clementia was also the Co-Founder and head of Operations for One-One Hospitality group, a business which operated a restaurant, a guest house, events management and cleaning services in Lesotho and South Africa. Prior to that, she was Events Coordinator Manager for Ernst and Young’s Lumus Standard.
Clementia has also worked for various hotel establishments around the country, such as Intercontinental Sandton Sun and Towers Hotel, where she was the Club Intercontinental Executive host / Guest Relations Officer. She also worked for the Glenburn Lodge - Muldersdrift, as well as the Tropicana Hotel – Durban, where she was a Receptionist. Whilst studying at the hotel school – ML Sultan Technikon (currently known as DUT), Clementia worked on part time basis as a waitress, for the Hilton Hotel - Durban, the International Convention Centre – Durban, as well as the Intercontinental Beverly Hills hotel – Umhlanga Rocks. Within the hotel industry, she had a great opportunity of taking care of international dignitaries, business executives and royalty, with the likes of Prince Charles, Nelson Mandela, Bill Clinton and many more.
She holds a National Certificate in Hotel Reception from M.L. Sultan Technikon. She has attended Leadership development and coaching skills courses through Global Transformational Leadership Institute (GTLI).
Clementia also founded and operated an NGO, a children’s safety home and day care centre named “Wisdom Calls ECD”, which catered for the underprivileged children in Zandspruit informal settlement , Johannesburg.
She is also the author of a book titled “The Womb of Africa Carries My Glory”.
