Introduction
I have vast experience as a support worker who takes her job seriously. I am more than happy to learn on the job as well. I have worked with persons with spinal cord injuries, dementia patients, elderly care as well as child care. I know the basis of Nursing which are basic life support, CPR, food hygiene, fire and safety, health and safety, manual handling, Caldecott reform certificates.
In my time of studying as a support worker I have worked in the hospitals, care homes, residential homes, private homes( this is what I am looking forward to getting. The last
one I did- I enjoyed every minute of it), learning disability homes. I really enjoy working as a carer. I learnt a lot and still learning. Different homes with different ways of doing things. I remember working in a home that my employer enjoyed salad with everything in it but in another home, only tomatoes and onions as well as bell peppers were enough as salad. I
wish to go back to university to study sometime my Nursing and become a
proper Nurse.
