I was in school from pre-k through law school and began a great experience at a large law firm after graduating in May 2022. However, I realized I needed to switch things up and take a step back from the profession and the fast paced big law lifestyle. I've been helping take care of family members and their homes since January. I have a car and a dog that I would like to bring with me although I do not need to bring him around you or the family I would just like him living with me. Since I've been away from D.C. and in Nebraska with family I realized it will be a significant amount of time until I want to return to law if ever. I've recently enjoyed spending my time cleaning, being surrounded by nature, interacting with younger family members and the community, taking care of ailing family members, and although I'm social (you can't get into big law without etiquette, social skills, and personableness) I've really enjoyed spending time with just my dog meaning I won't end up flaking out just because I don't have family and friends that live near me. I was born in Seattle, grew up in Nebraska where I attended undergrad, and went to law school in D.C. Because of this vast regional exposure I can connect with many different personality types and lifestyles. I have a range of experience, some not included on my resume such as working at a retail store for 5 years part-time in merchandising and keeping the store clean. I created and ran a children’s reading program in a domestic violence shelter. I've organized several events for extracurriculars and for my jobs throughout high school, undergrad, and law school. I have 3 nieces who I helped take care of and lived with part-time. I hope you read my resume closely and see that I am dynamic, willing to learn new things, hard working, and open-minded.
