My name is Amy, and I am originally from Portugal. I am a friendly, honest, caring, and reliable person with a genuine passion for working with children. I am applying for this position because I truly enjoy being around children and supporting families in their daily lives. Being able to contribute to a safe, happy, and caring environment for children brings me great joy.

In addition to childcare, I am also happy to assist with household tasks such as cleaning, ironing, shopping, school pick-ups, driving, and other daily responsibilities that may help make your family’s routine easier.

Regarding my experience, I come from a large family and have grown up surrounded by children, as I have 13 nephews and nieces. Over the years, I have gained valuable experience through babysitting, working as a nanny and au pair, and helping care for children of different ages. I also worked in a kindergarten in Spain, which further strengthened my skills in childcare and communication.

Whenever I travel to Portugal during holidays such as summer and Christmas, I help my sister with her kindergarten and ATL (“Atividades de Tempos Livres”), which provides activities and care for school-aged children during their free time.

In addition, I have completed two years of nursing studies in Oslo, which has given me further knowledge about care, responsibility, and supporting the well-being of others.
