We are a family based in Istanbul, and we are currently looking for a native or near-native English-speaking nanny to support our 7-year-old son, Kaan.

Our primary goal is to help Kaan develop confidence and fluency in English through natural daily interaction. This includes:

Playing games together

Having conversations in English

Reading books and storytelling

Supporting daily routines in English

In addition, we would appreciate gentle support with his English homework, when needed. This is not meant to be formal teaching — rather, helping him understand instructions, talk through tasks, and feel confident using English.

We are open to both part-time and full-time arrangements, depending on the right fit and availability. For the right candidate, a full-time position can be considered.

We are looking for someone who is:

Warm, patient and playful

Comfortable working with children

Experienced with, or open to working with, children learning English as an additional language

Able to create a relaxed and positive English-speaking environment

Formal lesson plans or worksheet-based teaching are not required. The focus is on natural language exposure, communication and confidence.

Role Overview

The role focuses on immersive English exposure through daily interaction, play and routine activities. The aim is to help our child feel comfortable, confident and fluent in English while enjoying the learning process.

Key Responsibilities

Engage the child in play-based activities (games, creative play, outdoor activities) in English

Communicate consistently in English during daily routines

Read books, tell stories and encourage conversation in English

Provide gentle support with English homework, when required (explaining instructions, discussing tasks, encouraging spoken English)

Create a positive, relaxed and supportive environment that builds confidence rather than pressure

Support emotional wellbeing and social development through warm interaction


Candidate Profile

Native or near-native English speaker

Experience working with children (experience with children learning English as an additional language is a plus)

Warm, patient, playful and engaging personality

Responsible, reliable and comfortable working in a family setting

Able to encourage language naturally through interaction rather than instruction

Working Hours

Open to part-time or full-time, depending on availability and suitability

Preferred schedule: afternoons on school days

A full-time position can be considered for the right candidate
