Family's Introduction to Nanny
Job Description
As we prepare for our move to Mallorca in the coming months, we hope to find a housekeeper who is looking for the same kind of lasting, trusted partnership as our current housekeeper who has become a part of our family over the last 6 years.
We are looking for a long-term, live-out housekeeper who is organized, proactive, and enjoys working in a lively home environment. While some assistance with our three children is required, this position is primarily focused on maintaining and managing our household.
We value someone who is self-starting, detail-oriented, dependable, and brings a cheerful, positive energy into our home. We are looking for someone who naturally notices what needs to be done and takes initiative without needing detailed daily direction.
Note: I’ve checked some working days but these are flexible.
Primary Role: Housekeeping & Household Management (Majority of Responsibilities) The main focus of this position is maintaining a clean, organized, and smoothly run household. Responsibilities include:
Deep Cleaning (Weekly):
* Thorough vacuuming of all rooms
* Mopping floors
* Deep cleaning bathrooms (toilets, showers, tubs, sinks, mirrors)
* Kitchen deep clean (appliances, counters, cabinet fronts, etc.)
* Dusting surfaces, baseboards, and high-touch areas
Daily & Ongoing Household Tasks: **Of high importance**
* Tidying and organizing common areas
* Loading/unloading dishwasher and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
* Laundry for the household (washing, folding, organizing, and putting away)
* Changing bed linens as needed
* Maintaining organization systems (closets, pantry, play areas, etc.)
* Light household management tasks (tracking supplies, restocking essentials)
* Grocery shopping and occasional household errands
* Dog walking (must be comfortable with animals)
* Keeping the home running smoothly day-to-day
Secondary Role: Childcare Support
Childcare is a supportive part of the role and will primarily involve assisting me with our three children. This role is not a sole-charge nanny position but rather one of support and teamwork.
Responsibilities may include:
* Helping supervise children when needed
* Preparing simple meals or snacks
* Helping with light child-related cleanup
* Occasional school pickups/drop-offs (if applicable)
* Once a month help with a date night or weekend away would
be a part of agreed working days/hours.
