We are a small family of two: myself, and my 32-year-old brother who is autistic/on the spectrum (he has the mental age of a young child). He is very quiet, calm, and easy to live with. He handles his own hygiene and gets dressed independently, so you won’t have to assist with those. That said, he is quite slow, doesn’t have quick reflexes, and he has limited speech—so whenever we go out together with you, or whenever you are alone with him, you will need to be observant, vigilant, responsible, and calm. These qualities are an absolute necessity for the profile that we are looking for.

Inside the house, he follows a well-established daily routine and really doesn’t require constant attention. Once you’re done assisting him with his meals and simple learning activities, he will enjoy his own calm time. So your presence is mainly about making sure someone is there to make sure he eats and warn me in case anything comes up—especially when I’m away for work. He also has a history of epilepsy, though he hasn’t had a seizure in several years, it is still important that someone trustworthy is always around.

Your role includes:
- Preparing and serving meals (if you enjoy cooking, baking, and are interested in healthy or organic food, that’s a big plus)

- Running errands (groceries, pharmacy, etc.)

- Doing the dishes and keeping the apartment clean and organized, washing clothes with the washing machine, drying and folding, doing payment of bills remotely

- Accompanying my brother in his daily learning exercises (they’re simple and pre-planned)

- Ensuring he takes his meals, medication, and drinks his water regularly

- Taking him 3 to 4 times a week for a few hours to activities at the community center (art, etc.) and the sports center

- Helping set up the computer when he has online classes and be by his side

- Joining us for family outings (restaurants, walks, movie theater, vacation/entertainment both in and outside the city)

- Being available to travel abroad with us when needed

Our home/family system is quite predictable. My brother is actually the easiest part of the day-to-day. Grocery shopping will by default be for 3 (my brother, you and I), unless we have a few guests. The recipes will be simple and once that’s done, the household won’t require heavy maintenance.

This is a role for someone who feels at home in family life and appreciates peace and stability. It’s perfect for someone who enjoys completing their tasks and then relaxing or enjoying their own quiet time—rather than someone juggling a second job or business. That kind of multitasking won’t fit our family

We are not looking for a temporary fix. We are looking for a warm, grounded, serious and reliable woman who would actually enjoy living or working with us long-term, who values simplicity, family fun time and connection, and who finds meaning in caregiving and sharing life.
