Looking for a an experienced live in nanny for our 2.5 year old son. I am currently in the U.S. arranging to move to the Philippines while my son and his father are there currently. Location is in Pasig near Estancia mall. We have a nanny currently but she is leaving at the end of April.

We are looking for a nanny that has a passion for this as a career. We are pretty hands on parents but are entrepreneurs and need help when we are working. Here are the following things we need: You can speak fluent English and able to read books to our son. You are educated on child growth and development and know age appropriate activities to do with him to keep him busy and learning. We do not like him to watch tv and he does not have an iPad. We may allow tv on at times but we are focused on Montessori style most of
the time and learning through play.

Our son is very smart and advanced for his age. He is very outgoing, adventurous and fun. He follows a good schedule and just needs to be playing more and doing activities like play doh, imaginary play and some simple arts and crafts. He currently loves to go swimming but with floaties on, loves spiderman, listening to music and exploring. He’s very independent too. Everyone that has been in his presence loves him. He is a 2 year old though so he does have his moments of tantrums but communication for him is so important and he does well when things are explained to him and being patient and loving to him but stern when needed. Authoritarian style.

I am coming back to the Philippines in July so you will be meeting with dad to speak more details on pay and hours of work. We are both entrepreneurs American and mixed Filipino. I’m in my 30’s and dad in his 40’s. We are very easy going and kind people and do our best for our son, friends and family. You will be treated as family. We have a live in cook/maid as well you will be sharing a room with. We love her and she knows our family well.

Your other duties other than activities and play would be standard diaper changes, bathing, clean ups and organizing his things, and traveling with us when we go places. We’d love to talk with you more if this sounds like you have the experience. We will pay based on experience and again can discuss more at interview.
