We are an international couple in our mid-30s. The husband is half-Japanese and half-German, and the wife is Slovakian. We are both university-educated and currently working in corporate careers.
Over the years, we’ve lived in many different parts of the world, including Japan, Europe, the United States, East-Africa (Tanzania), China, and now the Middle East. We are passionate about travel and enjoy exploring different cultures—especially through food! We love cooking at home (especially Japanese cuisine) and trying new flavors from around the world.
We speak several languages, including Japanese, and we hope to raise our child in a warm, multicultural, and multilingual environment. As we welcome our first baby soon, we are looking for a kind and responsible au pair/nanny who can help us create a home filled with love, care, and Japanese language and culture.

Location: Muscat, Oman
-Start Date: from November 2025 or later
-Duration: minimum 6–12 months (negotiable)
-Children: 1 baby (due in October 2025)
Main Goal: Help raise our child in a warm, nurturing environment with exposure to Japanese language and culture
Your Role:
- Support us in daily baby care (feeding, changing, soothing)
- Babysit
- Speak Japanese with the baby to help develop early language exposure
- Light household help (baby laundry, tidying play area)
- Join us on family outings

Ideal Candidate:
- Native-level Japanese speaker
- Experience with newborns or young children
- Kind, calm, and responsible
- Open to living in Oman
- English or basic communication in English is helpful
- Open-minded and curious about different cultures
Bonus if you have:
- Background in early childhood development
- Interest in arts, crafts, or storytelling
- Prior au pair or nanny experience
About Us:
We are an international couple relocating from the Netherlands to Oman. Our first baby is due in October, and we are looking for a caring and responsible Japanese-speaking au pair to join our family starting around October or shortly after. We are kind, respectful, and value cultural exchange.
