We are an expat family living in the heart of Amsterdam.
We are a Dutch / Australian couple and have lived in Amsterdam (De Pijp) for almost eight years. We have two boys, aged four and two. We also have a friendly labradoodle dog.
We are mostly an English-speaking house, our boys speak Dutch.
We are an adventurous and healthy-minded family, we love to travel, play sports and have quality time together.
We are looking for a nanny who is easy-going, tidy, very organised, service-orientated, dynamic and discreet.
We would work together with the nanny to create a fixed schedule and there would be a few times a year that some travel might be required. So some flexibility and willingness to travel would be desirable.

We are looking for a nanny/housekeeper (50/50 role split) to help us with the general running of our household, groceries, some cooking and child care. 
Overall 35-40 hours per week of work, comprising either morning (7-14.30) or afternoon shifts (15.00 – 21.30) (flexible and to be discussed)
There would be one weekend per every second month that a one or two-night sleepover duty is required (the carer has their own guest room available at our house).
We would also we like to bring the selected nanny with us on travel/ family holidays 2-3 times per year. Expenses paid, holiday bonus given, this would be discussed periodically with the nanny. 
Vacancy duties and responsibilities:
Laundry for the children
Assisting in maintaining the children’s routines;
Playing with the children, reading to them, doing crafts, going on outings in the neighbourhood;
Supervising play dates when needed;
Preparing healthy, simple children's meals and snacks;
Bringing the children to or picking the children up at their nurseries or other activities if needed;
Receiving parcels and other deliveries;
Keeping track of household supplies and stocks;
Grocery shopping and running errands;
Travel with the family;
Tidying up after the children’s and own activities;
Packing and unpacking children's suitcases and other luggage before/after travel.

Profile requirement:
The family is looking for someone who is able to bond with the children and willing to support them in their growth under the guidance of the parents.
The ideal nanny will be warm and engaging while also able to set boundaries.
Like the rest of the team, the nanny functions as a role model for the children by promoting good manners, kindness, and respect.
The nanny should feel comfortable taking sole charge of both children when needed.
Fluent spoken English is a prerequisite.
The family requires background checks from the prospective candidate.
A driver license valid in the Netherlands is a plus.
International travel will be required and the nanny must be fully vaccinated in order to be able to travel with ease.
Eligible to work in the EU.
Job Conditions
35-40 hours per week (50/50 split of nanny duties and household management)
Monthly schedule, set at the beginning of the month.
21 days paid holiday leave per year
Incremental yearly bonus and salary increase at end of calendar year (TBD)
Starting salary of 500EUR per week - Salary may vary depending on experience.
