We recently welcomed our first child, a newborn, and are looking for someone caring and dependable to help us during this beautiful new chapter of our lives.

Our home is bilingual — Spanish is spoken by Mauricio, and English by Kelly — and we embrace open communication, mutual respect, and a nurturing atmosphere. Kelly works full-time from her clinic, while Mauricio works primarily from the office with the flexibility to work from home occasionally. Domestic Caretaker – Full-Time (Live-Out) – Bermuda

We are seeking a compassionate, responsible, and experienced Domestic Caretaker to join our household in Pembroke, Bermuda, providing full-time support primarily focused on the care and well-being of our young child. This live-out position requires a committed individual with a nurturing demeanor, excellent childcare instincts, and the ability to maintain a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide attentive, hands-on care to one child, including feeding, hygiene, daily routines, play, and developmental engagement

Plan and supervise indoor and outdoor activities suitable to the child’s age and interests

Ensure the child’s safety and emotional security at all times

Prepare meals and snacks for the child, and assist with light household duties related to childcare (tidying toys, child laundry, cleaning eating areas)

Maintain a clean and sanitary environment for all child-related activities

Support routines such as naptime, playtime, and educational enrichment

Accompany the child to local outings (e.g. parks, playgroups) with advance parental approval

Communicate regularly with the parents about the child’s progress, needs, and schedule

Occasionally assist with ad hoc childcare needs of additional children from the extended family, as agreed in advance

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of prior experience in childcare or a domestic caretaker role

Strong references demonstrating reliability, trustworthiness, and nurturing skills

Ability to engage positively and patiently with young children

Good physical health and stamina to keep up with daily caregiving duties

High level of personal hygiene, organization, and attention to safety

Excellent communication skills in English

Willingness to comply with all household rules and Bermuda labor laws

Clear background check and valid work authorization (or willingness to obtain)

Preferred

First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to complete upon hire)

Experience working in a private home setting

Familiarity with early childhood education or age-appropriate developmental practices

Location: Pembroke, Bermuda

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours/week)

Live-Out: This is not a live-in position

Compensation: USD $25/hour
