Dear Au Pair Candidates,
We are a family of four who are excited to welcome a new member to our family! My name is Brittany and I'm a registered nurse, while my husband, Robert, is a lawyer. We both work remotely, which allows us to be at home with our child and be actively involved in their lives. We live in a cozy 3-bedroom home with a home office and 2 bathrooms in Torrance, CA, which is a quiet and safe neighborhood in Southern California.
We currently have a 9 month old daughter who is full of energy and always on the go. We are also expecting to get pregnant and have a new baby in the spring of 2024 and are looking for an au pair who can join us in caring for our growing family. As busy working parents, we need someone who can help us manage our household and provide exceptional care for our children.
Torrance is an enriching and diverse community, with a rich cultural center that celebrates the heritage of its residents. The city boasts some of the best beaches in Southern California and a variety of outdoor activities to enjoy. Another popular attraction in Torrance is the Del Amo Fashion Center, which is one of the largest malls in the United States. Our home is located near Redondo Beach, which is a fantastic place to explore and relax during your free time.
As our au pair, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care for our children, as well as light household duties. You will have your own private bedroom, shared bathroom, and access to all of the home's amenities. You will also receive a weekly stipend of $200-300, as well as the use of one of our cars on days off.
As our au pair, you will have the opportunity to travel with us and experience new places and cultures. We believe that traveling can be a great way to enrich the children's education and life experience. We will provide you with compensation for any additional travel expenses, and we will make sure that you have appropriate time off for your services during the trip.

We are seeking a responsible and loving live-in au pair to help care for our current 9-month-old girl and a new baby we are expecting in the fall. The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic, caring, and have a genuine passion for children. The position is a live-in, full-time role where you will be responsible for providing childcare and light household duties.
Key Responsibilities:
Providing a high standard of childcare for a 1-year-old and a new baby expected in the fall.
Preparing meals and snacks for the children.
Light housekeeping duties including tidying up after the children, laundry, and maintaining a clean and organized living environment.
Engaging in educational and fun activities with the children, such as reading, playing games, arts and crafts, and outdoor activities.
Occasionally assisting with shopping trips.
Adhering to the children's daily routine and ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Being responsible for the children during family vacations and trips.
Willingness to travel with the family on domestic trips.
Assisting with packing and preparing for travel, and ensuring the children have a safe and enjoyable experience.
Being flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and locations while traveling.
Please note that family vacations and trips will be discussed and planned in advance, and the au pair will be compensated for additional travel expenses and receive appropriate time off for their services during the trip.
Requirements:
Must be between the ages of 18 and 26 years old.
Prior experience working with children.
Ability to provide a safe and nurturing environment for children.
Ability to follow instructions and adhere to the family's rules and routines.
Excellent communication skills.
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
The ability to swim is a plus.
