I grew up in a loud, loving African home where children were everywhere and everyone helped. Being the first born meant I learned early how to cook, clean, calm crying babies, and still laugh through it all. Some days were chaotic, some days were calm, but they were always full of love, faith, and togetherness. That’s where caring for children stopped being a responsibility and simply became part of who I am.
I’m very comfortable around children because I’ve grown up with them my whole life. I’ve changed diapers half asleep, helped with homework I barely understood, sung the same nursery rhyme more times than I can count, and settled serious arguments over toys and cartoons. I don’t claim to be perfect, but I am patient, present, and genuinely invested in the little humans around me.
