Dear Host Family,

My name is Stella, and I am from Kenya. I am a caring, responsible, patient and hardworking person who is excited about the opportunity to become an Au Pair and experience life with a family in another country.

I would describe myself as someone who is dependable, easy to get along with and always willing to help. I enjoy being around people and I am comfortable taking on different responsibilities depending on what my host family needs. I have experience caring for children through looking after my siblings, nieces, nephews and friends’ children, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with children, keeping them entertained and helping with their daily routines.

I am also happy to help with other aspects of family life. I can assist with housekeeping, preparing simple meals, running errands, keeping things organized and helping care for elderly family members. I understand that being an Au Pair is not only about childcare, but also about being a supportive and trustworthy person who can contribute positively to the household.

Growing up in Kenya has taught me to be independent, respectful and adaptable. I am comfortable learning new things and would be happy to learn your family’s routines, culture and way of life. I am also excited about sharing my own Kenyan culture, traditions, food and experiences with you.

I also want to be open about having three meaningful tattoos. They are personal to me, but they are in places that are hardly visible and can easily be covered. As for piercings, I only have piercings on my ears.
