Introduction
For several years, I explored different care paths while searching for work that gave me the same sense of purpose I experienced as a nanny. I gained valuable experience in restaurants, retail, bakeries, and mental health, developing skills and discovering interests that have continued to shape me professionally. Eventually, I found my way back to childcare and worked in a church daycare. After six months, I realized how much I missed the individualized connection that comes with nannying, particularly when children had to transition to new classrooms. I returned to working as a nanny with a stronger foundation of professional experience and a renewed appreciation for the work. As I continued working with families, I became especially interested in caring for newborns and began working with agencies that specialized in newborn and overnight care.
While pursuing additional education at Chattahoochee Technical College, I initially planned to become an elementary school counselor. During my fourth semester, however, I learned about postpartum doula certification through an agency I was working with. The opportunity immediately felt like a better fit for my interests and strengths. While completing my certification, I continued working with families during both daytime and overnight hours and discovered that I particularly enjoy providing attentive, hands-on care during the day. These experiences have strengthened my confidence in caring for infants and supporting families during an important stage of their lives.
My ultimate career goal is to build a long-term relationship with a family as a full-time nanny, ideally working primarily during the daytime with a family who is expecting or caring for an infant. I value reliability, attentiveness, and creating a warm, nurturing environment where children can thrive. I have a valid passport, am comfortable around pets, have experience supervising children in and around water, and am fully available to travel with a family when needed. Most importantly, I’m passionate about childcare and would love the opportunity to bring my experience, dedication, and genuine love for children to a family looking for dependable, long-term support. I look forward to the opportunity to meet and learn more about your family!
