Dear Family,

I am a native German speaker from Berlin with many years of professional childcare experience, and I am currently open to finding the right family internationally.

Working with children has accompanied me throughout my life. My professional experience began in a day nursery and later at a school for blind and visually impaired children, where I worked in residential care. For around 13 years I have also worked continuously with private families in Berlin.

I have cared for children from very young babies through to school age, including several sets of twins and siblings of different ages. I have worked both in full-time sole-charge positions and with several families in parallel. One of my full-time positions involved caring for one-year-old twins five days a week, approximately 55 hours per week, for around 18 months.

My experience also includes overnight and multi-day care, homework support, travel with families and extended periods of full-time childcare during international film productions. I began caring for one child when she was four months old and accompanied her family over many years; we are still in contact today. Long-term relationships with children and families are very important to me.

I am calm, warm and affectionate with children, but also clear, reliable and comfortable setting appropriate boundaries. I enjoy giving children the freedom to discover things for themselves while providing the structure and security they need.

Creativity is also a big part of my life. I am an artist and author, and I love drawing, painting, making up stories and discovering the world with children. I am equally happy helping with homework, organising everyday routines, spending time outdoors or simply being the dependable adult a child can turn to.

I am flexible regarding location and particularly interested in international positions where I can become a trusted part of a family’s life. I am comfortable travelling and with overnight care, and I am open to both longer-term positions and the right temporary opportunity.

German is my native language, I speak good English and I am currently developing my Turkish. I have a driving licence and can swim. I am also currently updating my paediatric first-aid training and certificate of good conduct.
