I am a friendly, caring, patient, and easygoing person who enjoys spending time with children and being part of a family. I am also responsible, adaptable, and willing to learn. I love outdoor activities, traveling, hiking, sports, singing, dancing, cooking, and spending time with animals. I enjoy exploring new places and experiencing different cultures.
My interest in becoming an Au Pair comes from my genuine love for children and my desire to experience life in another culture. Growing up, I was often around children because my mother worked as a maid and nanny, and we lived with the family she worked for. I helped take care of the children, especially during my free time, and we became very close. They even called me their “Ate,” which means older sister in Filipino.
I also have a background in Social Work, where I had experience working with children, including children with special needs, and organizing activities and programs for them. I am currently working in a psychiatric setting while studying caregiving, which has further developed my patience, empathy, responsibility, and caregiving skills.
I want to become an Au Pair in the Netherlands because I would love to experience Dutch culture, learn the language, become more independent, and share my own Filipino culture and traditions with my host family. Most importantly, I hope to build a genuine connection with my host family, support their children, and become someone they can trust and feel comfortable with. I see being an Au Pair not only as an opportunity to travel, but also as a meaningful cultural exchange and a chance to grow personally and professionally.
