My name is Kasandra, I am a 32-year-old Canadian childcare professional, and I am very excited about the possibility of spending several months living and working with a family in Europe.

I currently work as an educator in a daycare setting with children between approximately 18 months and 4 years old. Working with young children is something I genuinely enjoy and find very rewarding. My work has given me experience caring for multiple children at once, planning age-appropriate activities, supporting children’s emotional and social development, encouraging independence, and creating a safe, warm and stimulating environment.

I particularly enjoy creating activities that allow children to learn naturally through play and exploration. I love spending time outdoors with children, discovering nature, doing arts and crafts, reading stories, cooking or baking together, and creating simple activities that develop their language, creativity, fine and gross motor skills, problem-solving abilities and confidence. I believe children learn best when they feel secure, respected and encouraged to explore the world around them.

My Personality

I would describe myself as responsible, patient, caring, active and dependable. I am someone who naturally takes responsibility and enjoys being organized. At the same time, I believe that working with children should be fun, playful and relaxed.

I understand that every child has a different personality, temperament and set of needs. I try to meet children where they are and adapt my approach accordingly. I value respectful communication and positive guidance, and I believe that clear and consistent boundaries can coexist with warmth and affection.

I am also very comfortable being part of a household and understand the importance of respecting a family’s routines, values, privacy and parenting style. My goal would be to become someone your family can genuinely trust and rely on.

Why I Would Love This Experience

I am looking for a meaningful experience abroad rather than simply a short holiday. I would love the opportunity to immerse myself in another culture, experience everyday family life in Europe, learn about a new country and potentially improve my language skills.

At the same time, I would love to share some of my own Canadian culture and experiences with your children. I think living with a family creates a wonderful opportunity for cultural exchange and for children to develop curiosity and openness toward the world.

Ideally, I am looking for a position of approximately six months, although I am open to discussing the duration depending on what works best for the family.

My Labrador

I would also like to be transparent from the beginning that I would be travelling with my Labrador.

She is an important part of my life, and I am therefore specifically looking for a family who is comfortable welcoming a dog into their home. She is very friendly, affectionate and active, and I would of course remain completely responsible for her care, exercise, feeding and general needs.

I understand that bringing a dog into someone’s home is an important consideration, so I would be happy to discuss this openly and make sure that everyone is comfortable with the arrangement before making any commitment.

I actually think living in a family environment, particularly one with children and access to outdoor space, could be a wonderful experience for her as well.

What I Hope to Find

I am looking for a family where there is mutual respect, good communication and a genuine interest in getting to know one another. I would love to feel like a trusted member of the household while also respecting that I am there primarily to support the family with childcare.

I am comfortable helping with children’s laundry, tidying their rooms and play areas, preparing simple meals and snacks for them, organizing activities, accompanying them on outings, helping with their routines and generally contributing to their daily lives.

I am also very active and love spending time outdoors, so I would be particularly happy with a family who enjoys nature, walks, parks, hiking, cycling or outdoor activities.

Most importantly, I am looking for a positive and respectful environment where I can build a genuine relationship with the children and become someone they feel safe and comfortable around.
