I have worked with several families caring for children of different ages and personalities. My experience has included supervising children, preparing meals and snacks, helping with daily routines, assisting with homework and school activities, playing with children, keeping their surroundings tidy, and making sure they are safe, comfortable, and well cared for.
Working with different families has taught me how important it is to understand each child’s individual needs and to respect parents’ instructions, routines, and expectations. I am patient with children and enjoy creating a safe, positive, and caring environment where they can feel comfortable and supported.
In addition to my childcare experience, I also provided care this year for an elderly woman who was bedridden. This experience strengthened my patience, compassion, attentiveness, and sense of responsibility. It taught me to be observant of another person’s needs, assist with daily care, maintain a clean and comfortable environment, and treat the person in my care with dignity and respect.

As an au pair, I would enjoy helping with the children’s daily activities, schoolwork, meals, playtime, and routines. I enjoy reading with children, doing creative activities, playing age-appropriate games, spending time outdoors, and encouraging good manners and positive behaviour.
I am also very interested in cultural exchange. I would love to share Nigerian culture, food, traditions, and everyday life with my host family while learning about their culture, language, traditions, and way of life. I believe a successful au pair arrangement should be based on mutual respect, honest communication, trust, and understanding.
