Hi, I am a Finnish practical nurse specialising in children, young people and families. I have more than 6 years of experience working in daycare centers in Finland as a nanny and a teacher with families and children aged 9 months to 7 years!

During my studies i did 3 long placements on day cares, also one in special school. After my studies i have worked over 5 years on multible different daycares as a nurse and a teacher. I have had 2 long placements, the whole semester. I wanted to have flexibility on life and see many different work places so i did 3 years substitutes in different daycares (couple days to couple months). I adapt quickly to new situations and new routines and i always try to be self acting/independent, asking if there is something i can do to help. I worked with one family private during weekdays and weekends besides my daycare jobs in Finland before i came to Switzerland as live in nanny. I also have two younger brothers, lot of cousins and i’m godmom to one girl and one boy so being around children is my free time too!

Now i have done my first year as a live in nanny in Switzerland and i would love to continue as nanny/au pair in different country. I think being nanny/au pair is very special experience, you can build meaningfull long lasting relationships and memories and you can grow a lot as a person and in your work career. I now also can mix the two works and get the positive sides, best of both worlds.

Before i moved here i lived alone many years so basic cleaning and cooking/baking is normal every day rutine for me. We have had always animals at home so i enjoy a lot taking care of animals or being around them!

I love working with children and specially when i’m ”teaching” them and i can see their excitement, how happy they are and how much fun they are having. I like to be goofy around children and make them laugh. But when children or my loved ones need someone to talk to, i’m there to lissen, give advises and give them the comfort they need.

My way of working is through empathy, positivity and genuine presence and safety but also put clear boundries and stick to them. I’m patient with children and know when is good time to be strick or when to make compromises. For me it’s easy to make new relationships at work or in my personal life. My friends and colleagues have described me as approachable, bubbly, trustworthy and easy-going.

I enjoy with children to do various activities like music, exercise, crafting and learning together lanquage skills from reading, rhymes and playing. I also love to go outside and do daytrips. I have ”teached” emotional skills and overral emotions and how to handle them. I took here in my live in nanny position these finnish ”task cards” where there is different rhymes, exercises, shapes, what doesn’t belong etc. I can translate them on different lanquages!

As a person i’m empathic, humorous, adeventurous and independent. I’m also very emotional, genuine, passion about life and i dont give up easily, i think specially these features make me me. My free time is spent around doing always something sporty and creative examble right now i enjoy activities like reading, gym, dancing, writing, hiking, photographing, listening music and cooking and baking! I enjoy spending time alone but i’m more extrovert and love to spend time with my friends and family.

My dreams include lot of traveling and exploring new places and trying everything new. Maybe in the future i would like to study more, maybe teacher degree or marketing. I would love to someday do charity work and move abroad full time and i think these nanny/ au pair positions would help with that!

Communication, honesty and positivity is very import to me. I enjoy doing activities or chilling with the host family and i can be in the big sister role or if the family would want more private bond that’s okay for me too! I also hope that the family would support or give me opportunities to travel inside the country. Hope to find my next host family with new connections and memories!
