Hi!

I’m Silindokuhle Wendy, 28 years old, and I’d love the chance to become part of your family as your au pair.

I’m a Development Studies practitioner who studied and graduated from the University of Zululand. My background is in working directly with people, understanding different needs, and creating supportive environments where they can learn and grow.

Previously, I worked at Lindbong Development where I collaborated with students from different universities and colleges. That role gave me hands-on experience managing groups with different backgrounds, personalities, and learning styles. It taught me patience, flexibility, and how to adapt my approach so everyone feels seen and supported.

My most recent role was as an Educator Assistant with the Department of Education. There, I worked closely with teachers and learners in the classroom daily. I assisted with lesson activities, provided one-on-one support to students who needed extra help, and helped manage classroom routines to keep things calm and organized. I also supported children with homework, encouraged positive behavior, and communicated with teachers to make sure each child’s needs were being met. That experience is really close to what an au pair does - balancing care, guidance, and structure while making sure kids feel safe, heard, and encouraged to be themselves.

Outside of work, I’m warm, responsible, and easy to get along with. I enjoy cooking, reading, and spending time outdoors. I value open communication and believe that trust and respect are the foundation of any good relationship with both kids and parents.

I’m excited about the idea of joining your family, helping with childcare and daily routines, and sharing parts of my culture while learning about yours. My goal is to make your children feel comfortable and supported, and to give you peace of mind knowing they’re in good hands.
