Thank you for taking a moment to go through my profile.
If you're looking for someone who's responsible, empathetic, consistent, and hardworking, I think we'd get along very well.
I love learning and developing and I truly enjoy expanding my mind, while helping the kiddos learn and grow.
I have a lot of experience with children of all ages and from a range of different backgrounds. I’m excited about the possibilities of au pairing again, and about having new experiences.
I’d also love to be an au pair again, because it’s such a great opportunity for me to do the things I enjoy while helping families and having a positive impact on the lives of the kids I’ll be working with. I’ve always adored working with children and sharing my knowledge.
Au pairing is a fantastic way for me to do just that.
Having worked with children for most of my life, I’m a highly qualified childcare provider.
I have been a babysitter, a tutor, a daycare teacher, and an au pair (multiple times), and my knowledge and experience in childcare is vast.
I’ve completed numerous childcare courses, from Early Childhood Development to Learn Through Play, which includes 11 courses through Cox Campus, and 7 through Texas A&M AgriLife Extension. Some of these include courses on reaching and analysing milestones and appropriate progress (potty training, reading, language use, recognition, memory, motor skills, and more), communication with families and teachers, recognising potential problems (anxiety, learning disabilities, delays in areas of development, physical health issues, etc., and dealing with these as they come up.
I completed matric in the year 2019, after which I became certified to teach children between birth and 5th grade (Certified through UNICEF, Cotlands, The LEGO Foundation, PLAY, and the Department of Basic Education of South Africa) focusing on learn-through-play methods.
Additionally, I am American Red Cross certified in Infant, Toddler and Adult First Aid, CPR and AED.
For my stay as an au pair I would expect to be treated with kindness and respect, the way I would treat the family. I'd expect a safe, warm environment and an open communication system, wherein all parties discuss things freely and with consideration. I would like to be considered as part of the family in some way.
