My name is Colette, and I come from South Africa. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. I am a 51 year old, divorced woman and mother of two adults (son aged 22 years, and daughter aged 26 years).

I am a warm, caring, responsible, and creative woman with many years of experience working with children and families. For the past 10 years, I have worked in a school environment, where I developed patience, strong communication skills, and the ability to create calm, supportive spaces for children.

My au pair journey began shortly after completing my Matric in 1993, when I travelled to France to work for a family in Sèvres, Paris, caring for three children aged 8, 13 and 15. Later, I also worked in Israel as an au pair for a single parent with three children aged 8, 11, and 16. These experiences taught me independence, adaptability, and the importance of becoming part of a family’s daily life.

As a mother myself, caring for children comes naturally to me. I enjoy creating positive, nurturing environments where children feel safe, encouraged, and supported.

In addition to my childcare experience, I also have a background in administration, virtual assistance, photography, social media management, and website coordination, which has made me highly organised, dependable, and adaptable.
