I am a qualified Early Childhood Development (ECD) practitioner with many years of experience working with young children. I also completed a short-term nanny position in the United Kingdom before returning to South Africa, where I continued my career as a Grade R teacher.
I am currently employed as a lecturer in the ECD department at a TVET college. I am deeply passionate about young children and strongly believe that they deserve the best possible care, nurturing, and education from an early age.
I firmly support play-based learning for young children, as it encourages curiosity, creativity, and healthy development. I also believe that older children benefit from a balanced routine that includes schoolwork, sport, cultural activities, limited screen time, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy outdoor play and simple childhood fun.
