Dear host family, I am already very excited about getting to know you. But, first of all, I would like to introduce myself to you. My name is Sphesihle Hadebe. I am 23 years old and from the small city in Durban. I live With my father Sbusiso (49) and Andreas (52), and my brother Philani (7), I am living in a house that is located in an area full of nature. We have got chickens and 1 dog which loves to cuddle all day. My father works as a roofer at a small firm. Philani is currently attending the 4th grade of primary school. Overall, we are a pretty a small family, I have 2 uncles. I graduated from University of KwaZulu-Natal, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. I love traveling, learning new languages and different cultures, meeting new people, and definitely making memories. My very calm, collected, patient, and quick learning always comes in handy when dealing with challenging situations. I would describe myself as a reliable and caring person, who tries to make the best out of every situation. I like spending time with my friends; they are – as well as my family – very important to me. Always trying to help, I’m always there for them if they need me. In my free time, I like to listen to music, go shopping or dance. Furthermore, I enjoy reading a good book and singing – even though I cannot sing. At the moment, I volunteer at a school where I did my teaching practicals assisting with extra classes and classroom management. I enjoy this job very much, because I am able to bond with many of my learners. I would describe my strength as an Aupair as the ability to bond really well with kids and also blending in very easily and as a result being able to be their mentor in different aspects of life and also be like their big sister, also the ability to learn from my mistakes. On the other hand, I would describe my weakness as an Aupair is that I have a hard time letting go of something or someone because I get too attached to children especially and hence becomes emotionally hard to detach from them. I am searching for a host family, that would be happy to have me as part of the family, be kind, welcoming and who are willing to learn new culture and language. I am looking for a long time stay with my host family, for one 1year or more depending on the connection formed with the family. I really am looking forward to hearing from you soon.
