My name is Jordyn-Lynn, but I prefer to go by Jordy! I am an experienced, compassionate, and highly adaptable au pair/nanny with over two years of childcare experience in the U.S. I am passionate about working with children, helping them learn, grow, and thrive in a nurturing environment.
I spent two years in New York as an au pair, caring for three girls, including one with DAND, autism, and ADHD. I also completed a three-month contract caring for a child while her parents were filming a TV show, worked at a preschool/kindergarten assisting two autistic children, and tutored a child who could not attend school due to a private medical condition. My experience ranges from toddlers to school-aged children, and I am comfortable caring for multiple children at once.
I hold CPR, First Aid, and Au Pair/Nanny Certifications, along with a TEFL certification, which allows me to provide educational support and tutoring in English. I am fluent in English and Afrikaans and comfortable assisting with homework, meal prep, bedtime routines, and light household management. I also enjoy traveling and am open to a position that requires international or domestic trips.
Families describe me as patient, responsible, and dependable, and I pride myself on creating a structured yet fun and loving environment for the children I care for. In my free time, I love figure skating (I’ve been skating since age 11 at a provincial level), scuba diving (certified since age 10), and enjoying a great cup of coffee.
I do have tattoos, but they are easily hidden, and I also have ear piercings that can be removed upon request. I respect each family’s preferences and am happy to accommodate any guidelines regarding my appearance in a professional setting.
