Dear Future Host Family,
Hi, I am Mary an aspiring Au Pair from the Philippines. I am 29 years old and a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration major in Financial Management and currently working as a virtual assistant of a company from Australia. I have five siblings and I’m the fourth in the family. It has always been my dream to travel to different countries, meet new people and experience different cultures and also get to learn new language. I am hoping that being your Au Pair will help me experience and achieve this dream, my very first host family.
I consider myself as a family-oriented, easy going and responsible person.
I also have a relevant experience with taking care of children, spending time with the younger ones and living with other people. Two of my older siblings are already married and have kids. With them still living in our house, I get to experience taking care of my two lovely nieces (1 & 3 y/o) and two nephews (14 & 15 y/o) especially that I have a work-from-home job. I often watch over my nieces when their parents are at work. I helped in feeding them, take them to bed during nap time and spend time playing with the kids. I also spend most of my weekends bonding with my cousins (ages ranging from 2-20 y/o) , with me being the “Ate”(elder sister) among the group. I just love hanging out with the younger ones. Most of my childhood was also spent living on my relatives houses during summer vacations and my high school days as I studied away from home. I often help in doing household chores (cleaning, washing dishes and cooking basic meals) and watch over their kids. Helping out in doing household chores and cooking dishes is also a normal situation at home.
I hope that these experiences will consider me as your Au pair for your beautiful family. I would love to be a part of your family and be like a big sister to your children and a good friend to you, parents. I will do the best I could to offer you assistance and help out in taking care of your lovely children and at the same time, make memories I could treasure and discover new things and we embark in this culture exchange program.
I also love nature and doing outdoor activities. It would be lovely to do these things together and bond with your family. It would be great and exciting to try new things and experience the culture in your home country.
