Introduction
Being the eldest in the family also taught me independence and reliability at a young age. I grew up in a household where love, care, and compassion were the foundation of our family, and my mother being a teacher greatly influenced how I see and interact with children. Through her, I learned the importance of understanding, guidance, and kindness when supporting a child’s growth. These experiences shaped the way I care for others, and I take pride in being someone people can depend on. Seeing my siblings and cousins grow up well and knowing I was able to support them in my own way is something that continues to inspire me.
Aside from childcare, I am very interested in experiencing different cultures and learning how families live in other parts of the world. Becoming an Au Pair would allow me to broaden my perspective while also contributing positively to a host family’s home. I would also be happy to share parts of my Filipino culture with the children if the parents are comfortable with it. Since I am studying architecture, I naturally enjoy creative activities like drawing and arts and crafts, which I would love to share with the kids to encourage their creativity. I also enjoy sports and physical activities such as volleyball, badminton, and biking, as well as music and dancing, which can be fun ways to keep children active and engaged. For me, becoming an Au Pair is a meaningful opportunity to spend a year learning, growing, and supporting a family while creating happy memories with children before I begin my professional career in architecture.
