Dear Host Family,
My name is Genelah, I am 24yrs old. I’m from Philippines.I’m writing this letter to express my genuine interest in joining your family and to introduce myself so you may get to know me better.
I come from a loving and mostly women family where I learned the importance of respect, patience and caring for others. I enjoy spending time with children and I have gained experience by babysitting and tutoring my younger sibling, which is 11years younger than me, my 4 cousins since they were a babies now they are grown ups and in school and nephew(about to turn 1 this December). I’m proud to say they grew up very lovely, active yet gentle, creative and confident under my care. These experiences have helped me develop responsibility, creativity and the ability to create safe and happy environment for children.
When it comes to the required language which is English, I used to be a working student,I worked as Customer Service Representative that requires English proficiency for three years while I was in college so it’ll not be a problem for me and also for the household tasks because I grew up taking care of the household chores since I am the eldest in the family.
As an au pair, I would be happy to help your family not only with childcare but also with small household tasks. I am an organized, caring, and trustworthy person who values open communication and respect. I always believe that being kind and have an integrity is the best quality that a person can have. I enjoy creative activities like drawing, reading, playing games, outdoor activities,I love cooking and helping my Aunt in her small restaurant. I love dancing and singing which I believe children would enjoy as well.
I have always been interested and curious about other countries culture, language and way of life. One of the reasons why I want to become an Au Pair is to discover new cultures and improve my English language skills while sharing my own culture with your family. I believe this cultural exchange will help me grow as a person and also give your children the opportunity to learn about my culture and traditions in a fun way.
