Hi I am Marla or Mj. I am a pure Filipina!
The reason why I wanted to be an au pair is because I always wanted to learn more about various traditions and culture from different countries as well as share the Philippine culture. I am outgoing and would also like to discover the different wonder beauties of the world. I am willing to learn different languages to communicate well to other people .
As an au pair, I can help the kids with their needs inside and outside the home and school. I can cook at the same time a fast learner on new dishes that the kids would like to eat. I am also willing to do some light housework.
I am a Psychology graduate and as part of our curriculum we undergo child psychology, behavioral psychology and SPED. I also spent my on the job trainee in a grade school in the Philippines as a student counselor and act as psychology practitioner who helps women and children in their psychological needs. I also took care of their children and babies while their mothers were busy in the center.
In addition to this, I worked as a high school guidance counselor and a part-time teacher in a private school and I am currently working now as a Public High School teacher major in Values Education here in the Philippines and pursuing my masteral degree in Guidance and Counseling. I also passed my Licensure Examination for Teachers last March 2016 and I am also a Registered Psychometrician.
My academic and work experience will be very useful for me as an au pair.
