Hello! My name is Sheila Marie “She-She”, 25, from the Philippines ?. I currently work as a Residential Staff at the Regional Haven for Women, where our main clients are women and their dependents. Alongside this role, I was also glad to help care for elderly individuals who were temporarily accommodated at the center after being rescued from an unlicensed facility.
My work involves supporting daily routines such as meals, hygiene, activities, and helping maintain a calm, safe, and respectful environment. Through these experiences, I have learned to be patient, attentive, and emotionally present, especially when supporting individuals who need gentle guidance and consistent care.
I have attended trainings on Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) and Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), which helped me better understand emotions and behavior and respond with empathy, clear boundaries, and kindness. I enjoy supporting others in both active and quiet moments and helping create a space where they feel safe and valued.
I am honest, cooperative, and respectful. While cooking is not my strongest skill, I am open to learning simple meals and helping in other ways around the home. I value open communication and mutual respect in a household.
I am excited to experience a new culture, learn a new language, and become a dependable and caring part of a family’s daily life. I hope to bring a calm, warm, and supportive presence into your home ?.
