Dear host family

My name is Tholakele, but my friends and family call me Shaz. I am a 32 years old and I live in Nambia currently in the capital (Windhoek ) a beautiful country in Africa.

I am an open-minded, hard-working, easy-going, dedicated, trustworthy, helpful, patient, and responsible person. I love taking care of kids and their health, safety, and happiness are the most important to me.

I come from a family of 2 sets of twins being one of the last set. My mother is one of 4 but unfortunately died in 1999 resulting to me being raised by my maternal uncle. My father was never present hence l never got to know his side of family. I consider my family a close knit , and as a result my close inner circle of friend is also often viewed as ‘family’. I cherish and value my friendships; choosing to surround myself with loyal and fun people.

I graduated from Midlands State University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Social Science degree in Politics and Public Management .I love traveling, learning new languages and different cultures, meeting new people, and definitely making memories. My very calm, collected, patient, and quick learning always comes in handy when dealing with challenging situations.

I would describe my strength as the ability to bond really well with kids and also blending in very easily and as a result being able to be their mentor in different aspects of life and also be like their big sister, also the ability to learn from my mistakes. On the other hand, I would describe my weakness as that I have a hard time letting go of something or someone because I get too attached to children especially and hence becomes emotionally hard to detach from them
I am searching for a host family, that would be happy to have me as part of the family, be kind, welcoming and who are willing to learn new culture and language. I am looking for a long time stay with my host family, for one year or more depending on the connection formed with the family.
