Hi, future host family! My name is Jai and I’m excited to be part of your family.

Since I’m already staying in the country, processing of documents will be much faster. My visa allows me to stay in Luxembourg until August 2026, so we will still have several months together. I will also be able to meet with you in person, so I can explain better my reasons for rematch and we can learn more about one another.

I’ve been an au pair for three years, in two countries with two lovely families. I got the wonderful opportunity to become part of these families while helping care for the kids and helping with light household chores.

In the Netherlands, I was the responsible older sister to a 5-year-old girl, whom I took care of for one year. I took her home from school, took her to after-school activities, made her dinner, gave her baths, put her to bed, played with her, planned activities like craft making, and visiting museums together, babysat her during the parents’ date nights and did other au pair tasks.

I enjoyed the experience very much, so I decided to try again in another country. In Norway, I stayed for two years with a family that I’ve come to love as my own. I had the same responsibilities with two kids, a 6-year-old girl and a 4-year-old boy. Later on, the family welcomed a new addition, and I got to help care for an adorable baby boy from the moment he was born until he was around a year old. I was there for many firsts, helping the parents with milk bottles (and later on, baby food), changing his diaper and clothes, comforting when he cries, getting him to bed, playing with him, babysitting, and other typical childcare tasks. I felt each moment of being with these kids to be rewarding and fun, no matter how difficult it can be sometimes. I genuinely loved being part of my host families.

It was with this sentiment that I moved on to Luxembourg with another host family. I was excited to get to know another set of people and share my culture with as well as learn French from them. Sadly, though, I’ve realized that my current host family and I are not a very good match.

That is why I’m currently looking for a rematch family who will hopefully welcome me into their household sincerely and allow me to live the full au pair experience again. I’d be glad to genuinely care for your kids and support them in every way that I can.
