My name is Joyce ,i am 34 years Kenyan femalethough I currently live in Nakuru county where i have been working as a Librarian at a University,my home county is Nandi which occupy an are of 2884.4 square kilometers with approximately 885711 population,it is a small county compared to Nakuru county.
I am the last born in a family of six:my parents Michael and Alice are both retired head post master and teacher respectively and are currently self employed running a small shop in Nandi. I have two brothers and one sister,my eldest brother works as a public service vehicle drive while the second born is a farmer and a father of two daughters,my sister who is the third born in the family is a procurement officer in postal cooperation Nairobi she is also a mother of one son,i am the last born with a daughter who is 17 years who is doing her secondary education in form two.
I am an holder of bachelors degree in library and information and in future i plan to pursue my masters degree in the same field,at the moment i would like to take some time out of academics to have a different life experience and that's why i prefer spending some few years abroad.
My child care experience started way back in 2003 when i gave birth to my daughter,i also did babysitting for my brothers two children as well as my sister son as young as one week old.while at the university i did a paid babysitting for one of my lecturers daughter.
As a Librarian in the University,we developed a program of giving back to the society where we visited children homes and schools around the University donating books and story telling, indoor and outdoor activities.
I can comfortably say that I sincerely enjoy spending time with children.
