My name is Valeria, I am 27 years old.
I always enjoyed working with children and have had many different and wonderful experiences:
I worked as an Au Pair in Tres Cantos, where I taught English to children of different ages and in exchange, my baggage was enriched, not only at a cultural but also at a human level, as it became a continuous and invaluable life lesson. My days started early in the morning waking up the children, the youngest went to nursery, while the oldest did various creative tasks with me including drawing, reading, cooking with music and increasing her vocabulary every day, step by step.
While I was in England, I had the fortune to teach an intelligent boy of three and help him grow. I started early in the morning and ended once all the various activities were completed. Among them we did colouring, drawing, writing, reading, inventing stories, calculations such as addition and subtraction and many more. I cooked for him and cleaned, thus the place in which he learned was the best it could be for his own creativity. The area in which I worked was a constant joy, not only because I worked with an extraordinary child, but also thanks to my employer, who gave me a delightful work experience.
My daily tasks with the child I babysat in Italy, such as reading, writing, drawing, colouring and maths were done entirely in the English language. It was always a marvellous experience to teach and expand a child’s vocabulary and allow her to grow in a bilingual environment and share different cultures, which will help to open her multicultural mind and achieve more opportunities in the future.
I am a self-motivated person and enjoy challenges, I hope that enthusiasm reflects my ability to be versatile in the tasks I undertake, and for this reason, I am extremely keen to gain experience.
