I hope this letter finds you well. My name is Everlyn, a Kenyan national, and I am writing to express my interest in becoming a nanny as well as a caregiver to your elderly parents. I am a recent university graduate, currently residing in Siena, Italy.
I have always had a passion for working with children and believe that being a nanny or au pair would be a wonderful opportunity to combine my love for this role with my desire to experience a new culture.
During my time at university, I volunteered at local schools, churches, and community centers, where I gained valuable experience in caring for and educating children of various ages as well as caring for elderly people in local nursing homes. This experience taught me the importance of patience, empathy, and attentive care. I assisted with daily activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and providing companionship. These skills have equipped me with a deep understanding of the importance of creating a supportive and caring environment, which I believe will be beneficial in my role as a nanny.
I also have experience caring for newborn babies, having assisted my sister with her two babies (Reynold 5 years, and Maverick 9 months) from birth.
This experience taught me the importance of patience, attentiveness, and gentle care, which are crucial when looking after infants. I am comfortable with feeding, changing diapers, and soothing newborns, and I understand the unique needs and routines that come with caring for a baby
I am fluent in English and Swahili, and I am currently learning Italian. I believe that my multicultural background and language skills will be beneficial in creating a nurturing and enriching environment for your children and the elderly.
In my free time, I enjoy a variety of hobbies that I believe would be beneficial in my role as a nanny. I love cooking and experimenting with new recipes, which I would be delighted to share with your family. I also enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and walking out, which I find are great ways to stay active and explore new places.
