My name is Giulia, I am Italian, but I have spent the last ten years in London, where I have obtained my Bachelor's Degree in Modern Languages: French and Spanish. During my uni years, I have gathered some experience nannying for children of bilingual families from 4 months to 7 years of age, taking sole of up to three children at a time. These experiences have opened my eyes on how enjoyable it is for me helping to raise and educate young children, and led me to then obtain a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (and Qualified Teacher's Status). I had been giving private lessons to adults and teenagers since 2015, after having been awarded a Certificate in Language Teaching to Adults (for Italian), and a TEFL; but teaching Spanish in a Secondary school was definitely the most gratifying experience I had had, as it allowed me to fully immerse myself in two of my greatest passions: teaching languages and children. In the last few years, my experience with children has become even more personal thanks to my own beloved nephew, now a toddler. I have now decided to take a break from teaching and from London, to have the chance to experience first hand the countries whose cultures and languages I have been studying: France and Spain. I know nannying in a different country will be a great opportunity to use my knowledge, experience and passion for children, teaching, and exchanging cultures, and I would be enthusiastic to help a family raise a well-rounded 'little human', while continuing to grow myself. I have, furthermore, obtained a Paediatric First Aid certification in 2019, and possess an up-to-date Enhanced DBS check. Something else about me: I love pets; taking long walks in nature while listening to music; and watching good films.
