Dear Host Family,

My name is Deborah and I am from Ghana. If you are looking for someone to love and care for your children and your home, then you found me! My household is made up of 85% children so I know what it takes to look after children. It takes patience, tolerance, compassion, love, understanding and firmness. Unfortunately, not so many people possess such qualities because, they have little or no experience with children. But I can proudly say I do because, I have atleast 3 years paid experience in childcare and the many years of unpaid experience taking care of siblings.

I am an all-rounder, carefree and always willing to learn. I fancy activities like horse riding, tennis and biking and hope you wouldn't mind teaching those and more when I join you. Lol! But I normally play word games and make craftworks during my leisure.

It has always been my dream to live and experience a foreign culture, and also learn to speak a different language. And I feel the best way to achieve that dream is to become an aupair, as it gives one the opportunity to live among children. Because, from the part of the world where I come from, it is believed that the best place to learn something fun and new faster is to be in the midst of children!

While others may view this "big sister" position as a job, I see it as a great avenue to experience first hand, a foreign culture when you can't afford it, rather than reading or hearing about it. And also continue to enjoy the company and laughter of kids when I leave my household behind, as I would miss them a lot during my adventures.
