My name is Iris, I am 32 years old and a trained kindergarten teacher with over a decade of hands-on experience in childcare. My journey began at the age of 20 as an au pair, which laid the foundation for my continued work as a nanny, babysitter, and kindergarten teacher in a variety of educational and family settings.
Working with children is not just a job for me, but something I genuinely enjoy and value. I bring a calm, loving, and attentive presence, and I believe children thrive when they feel safe, seen, and respected. I aim to create a warm and structured environment where children can grow, explore, and express themselves freely, while also feeling supported by clear routines and gentle guidance.
As a kindergarten teacher, I have experience supporting children’s emotional, social, and developmental needs. I enjoy engaging children through age-appropriate play, creative activities, reading, nature time, and simple learning moments that arise naturally throughout the day. I value curiosity, kindness, and emotional awareness, and I try to model these qualities in my daily interactions.
I am open-minded, flexible, and comfortable working with families from different cultures and lifestyles(Europe, Thailand, Arabic etc).
Having worked with international families and lived in different countries(Europe and Thailand), I easily adapt to new environments and family dynamics. I speak German, Dutch, and English fluently, and I am happy to support multilingual development if desired.
I see my role as working with parents, not just for them. Clear communication, mutual respect, and trust are very important to me. I am reliable, responsible, and mindful of the values and boundaries each family has.
