Dear family, I have always had the aspiration to engage in volunteer work, au pairing, or nannying abroad upon completing my A Levels. Unfortunately that’s also when Covid struck, so I decided to postpone my plan and enroll in university. Currently I am in my final year of my bachelor's in pedagogy and social work in Karlsruhe, Germany. I have always loved children and believe we have much to learn from them. I would love to share my language and culture with you and your children.
Here are some of the reasons you should seriously consider me for your family:
I have extended experience with children from 0 to 17 years old including tutoring, I speak four languages, I can cook, I have experience in driving a manual car, and have completed multiple courses such as first aid and I am a very flexible, responsible, funny and caring individual.
A short summary of my experience as a childcarer:
I’ll try to summarize it all, but chronologically. At 15 I started babysitting my neighbors kids (3,5,9 y/o) and did a one week apprenticeship at my local kindergarten. At 16 I worked for a year at a NPO for three days per week. One day included work with infants, one day with children aged 3-7 and one day was for tutoring kids aged 10-17. In addition to that I served school lunch at a local school. After that I continued volunteering at that same NPO while working as a tutor for childrens after school program for a state initiative. At about that same time I organized and led a two week active summer camp for kids aged 7-12. Then I was offered the chance to start a dual study in pedagogy/social work for that first NPO and ever since I’ve worked and studied for them. My main work focuses on providing children with tutors and organizing the help they need to do good in life. I am also responsible for two language courses for immigrants and participate in other projects. In addition to that I have volunteered at a local intercultural theater specialized on pedagogical theater work. I am very passionate about my job as I truly believe children are our future and would love to find a family who shares that belief!
Altogether I have a whole lot of experience with children between the ages of 0 and 17. Professionally I have been working with kids from ages 1-6 and 9-17 in the past 2 years.
