Hello future host family! My name is Mila and i am 18 years old girl from Finland. I will graduate from vocational school next December and then I will become a practical nurse. Practical nurse school lasts three years. When you graduate from a practical nurse school, you can do many different types of work, for example, working with the elderly, disabled people, in a hospital or with children. My specialty is working with children. I have taken care of my little sister who is 7 years younger than me. I have worked in a kindergarten during the summer twice and I have been on an internship at a kindergarten twice. I have also worked in a nursing home.
My first language is Finnish and i speak English as my second language. I have studied English at school for eight years. I would say that I can speak and understand English really well, but writing it is more challenging. I also know the basics of Swedish.
I am a really social and a talkative person. I can be a little shy at first, but once you get to know me, I'm actually quite a talkative. I always try to make people around me laugh and I have a really good sense of humor. I always try to stay positive. I also have a really good imagination and I'm always excited to try new things.
I would like to be an au pair because I am still young and would like to see and get to know new places before I start working at a kindergarten. I would also like to learn about other cultures. Since I was a child my dream has been to become an au pair. I'm graduating from school soon and I'm full of motivation to work and I'm sure some family would find me as a nice helper.
